Our Opinion:

The Liberal Democrats believe that a local income based tax would be much fairer than the current Council Tax system. Pensioners and families on low incomes can be unfairly hit by Council Tax, which is based on their property's value, rather than on what they can afford. We are campaigning to Axe the Tax!
