Liz Lynne MEP and Sarah Carr Street Campaigning in Hereford
12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 1st Jun 2009
Local Liberal Democrats took to the streets in the centre of Hereford on Monday 1st June to talk to people about the need to clean up politics and make it relevant to people's lives. The group was led by Liz Lynne Liberal Democrat MEP for the West Midlands and Hereford's Lib Dem parliamentary campaigner Sarah Carr.
Sarah said, ""Liz Lynne is an incredibly hard working MEP with a record of fighting hard for the people of Herefordshire.Liz and I know that a lot of people are rightly very angry about politics right now. We want to see radical reform in British politics and we want to hear the views of local people on what should be done on this and all issues that affect peoples' lives."
Sarah is backing a 100 day plan of reform launched by Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg MP which says that Parliament should not break for its summer recess until the constitutional crisis is resolved.
