Heather Davies is working with Paul Keetch MP to make sure that our troops get the help they need to find good housing after retrning to Herefordshire.

With The Government starting to recognise the need for better treatment and recognition of our troops, Lib Dem Councillor Heather Davies is championing their cause locally. Soldiers wanting to return to the county often find this impossible, due to the massive housing shortage. The Conservative County Council currently does not acknowledge their unique circumstances. Heather Davies is fighting to change this.

"With annual wages often under £20,000, many soldiers are not in a position to buy and need to find affordable housing to rent. The Council is ignoring their situation. I feel that the people who risk their lives for our country deserve better treatment than this," said Heather Davies.

"I am raising this issue with the County Council and with MP Paul Keetch's support I hope the issue will also be discussed nationally."
