'Take a winning shot of your local park!' says Sarah Carr

Sarah Carr, Lib Dem Parliamentary Campaigner for Hereford and South Herefordshire

Taking every opportunity to promote Herefordshire nationally, Sarah Carr, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Hereford and South Herefordshire is encouraging all local amateur photographers to submit entries to the 'Postcards from the Park' national photography competition run by The Big Lottery Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund and GreenSpace where the overall winner will receive a 1st prize of £1000 in Jessops vouchers! Photographers are encouraged to capture what they love about their local park.

Entering the competition is easy. You can text your entry by MMS to 07803 851600, texting PARKS, your name and where you took the picture, or via the website www.postcardsfromthepark.org where you can also download an application form to send via the post to Postcards from the Park, GreenSpace, Caversham Court, Church Road, Reading RG4 7AD. The closing date for entries is 6pm, 1st August 2008.

Commenting on the opportunity Sarah Carr said,

"I urge all local amateur photographers to take part in the 'Postcards from the Park' competition. I believe in taking every opportunity to promote our beautiful county! There is a wealth of photographic talent out there so let's go take the winning shot and see our county publicised in postcards distributed in lottery funded venues across the UK."
