Hereford MP Paul Keetch and Sarah Carr, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Hereford and South Herefordshire together visited the land-based Holme Lacy Campus of Herefordshire College of Technology (HCT) on Friday 2 nd November. Together they were updated by HCT Principal Ian Peake and Assistant Principal Rob Dunn on future redevelopment plans for the Holme Lacy Campus providing state-of-the-art facilities for all students.
Paul Keetch MP has had a close relationship with the Herefordshire College of Technology. The HCT Folly Lane Campus is currently undergoing a £30million redevelopment. The now completed merger of Herefordshire College of Technology with the land-based Holme Lacy Campus has already enabled substantial new investment at Holme Lacy. Sarah Carr and Paul Keetch MP were particularly impressed by the refurbishment of the Campus carried out over the summer.
Paul Keetch said, "It was good to see Holme Lacy Campus following the successful merger with Herefordshire College of Technology. Holme Lacy is a great learning institution and a credit to Herefordshire."
Sarah Carr said, "I am very excited about the plans for the future of the Holme Lacy Campus. It is only right that a college in Herefordshire has specialist training facilities on offer for many of the agricultural and land based skills important to our local area including blacksmithing, farriery, welding alongside Animal Care and the Equine centre."
