Paul Keetch MP presents petition to Neil Pringle, Chief Executive of Herefordshire Council

Hereford's MP, Paul Keetch, has presented a petition from the residents of Lea, carrying more than 500 signatures, to the Chief Executive of Herefordshire Council, Neil Pringle, asking that the bus service from Ross on Wye to Gloucester continues.

Mr Keetch said, "The strength of feeling from local residents about the possible loss of the number 33 bus is reflected in the petition I presented today. There are well over 500 signatures supporting the petition that's been organised by Lea Parish Council.

"I was pleased to be able to hand it over to the Chief Executive at the Council who confirmed that they are seeking tenders for the service to continue."

Ross Lib Dems have joined Mr Keetch in the campaign to save the number 33 bus, pressing the Council to make sure this vital service is not lost to the communities it serves.
