Buses at Tesco bus station

The recently completed Tesco bus shelter for Tupsley has been welcomed by residents and especially by the many people who campaigned for its completion. This addition to the existing bus station provides much needed cover for shoppers waiting to catch Tupsley buses. Anyone who previously had to endure waiting in the pouring rain knows just how necessary this was!

At the forefront of the campaign was Tupsley's Lib Dem Councillors, Bill Walling, Liz Taylor and Alan Taylor. Many letters asking for a covered bus stop from concerned residents were received by our Councillors and by Paul Keetch MP. Alongside Mr Keetch, Lib Dem Councillors worked closely with Tesco store manager Matthew Reason to ensure the project's success. This cooperation led to Tesco very generously providing the funding necessary for the improvements to be made.

A big thank you to everyone who took part in the campaign, and special thanks to Matthew Reason.
