Conservative Council tries to pull plug on LEA Pool New!

At the latest meeting of the Council's Scrutiny committee for Children's Services, Conservative Cabinet member for Education and Achievement Phillip Price made his opinion clear: the LEA pool should not be saved.

Redhill Post Office Campaign Marches on... New!

On Monday 6th October, the Redhill Post Office campaign took to the streets in a last ditch effort to save the local post office. The Redhill Residents' Association, led by Chairman Wendy Jones, has been determined to keep their post office, sited in Redhill Stores.

Tudorville Residents Tackle Post Office Ltd at Public Meeting

Tudorville Youth Centre in Ross-on-Wye was standing room only for a packed public meeting on the future of Tudorville Post Office on Friday 19th September. The public meeting was co-ordinated by Tudorville Community Association and chaired by Ross Mayor Councillor John Davies with representatives from Post Office Limited and consumer champion Postwatch on the top table to answer questions.

Residents get views across at Ross Town Plan 'Planning for Real' event

In a speech to the Liberal Democrat annual party conference in Bournemouth this week (14th September), Sarah Carr, the Liberal Democrat hopeful to succeed Paul Keetch as Member of Parliament for Hereford and South Herefordshire, made clear her commitment to campaign for a fairer pension system providing security and dignity in retirement for every citizen.
