Paul Keetch MP is standing down at the next general election, and the Liberal Democrats have selected Sarah Carr to stand in his place. Sarah was Paul's agent in 1997 when he was first elected. She works tirelessly for the people of Hereford and South Herefordshire and hopes to be able to build upon Paul's record of action both in Parliament and in the constituency.

Sarah Carr welcomes review of car parking charges at Hereford County Hospital

Sarah Carr, local campaigner and Liberal Democrat Prospective MP for Hereford, Ross and South Herefordshire, has welcomed news from Hereford County Hospital that they have decided to review the limited car parking concession arrangements at the County Hospital. Mrs Carr has been championing the cause of many elderly and disabled residents in Herefordshire angered by the expensive car parking charges at Hereford County Hospital.

Sarah Carr talks business with Chamber of Commerce

Sarah Carr, Liberal Democrat Prospective MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire, met with business members from Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce on Friday 22nd January. The meeting took place at the Leadership Trust in Weston-Under-Penyard nr Ross-on-Wye.

Thousands of Herefordshire pensioners missing out on Cold Weather Payments - Sarah Carr

Sarah Carr, Liberal Democrat Prospective MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire, has expressed concern that up to 1.7m pensioners will miss out on Cold Weather Payments triggered by the recent weather, equating to a staggering 2,640 people across Hereford and South Herefordshire according to analysis of Government figures by the Liberal Democrats.

Sarah Carr: freeloading millionaires should not be propped up by Hereford constituents

The Liberal Democrats have led a debate in the House of Commons in which they have called for tax rules to be changed so that UK-based millionaires, who claim to live elsewhere, pay their full share. Lib Dem MP Norman Baker led the debate attacking the government's record, and also called for David Cameron to get tough on Conservative donors and candidates who fail to pay taxes in this country. The law still allow many individuals to avoid tax by claiming they are based elsewhere.
