Local Liberal Democrat campaigner Sarah Carr has today (Monday, 21st June) presented her petition to Hereford Hospitals NHS Trust for fairer car parking charges at Hereford County Hospital. Sarah presented the petition of 1451 names to the Hospitals' Trust Director of Finance and Information Howard Oddy.

Sarah Carr, the Liberal Democrat candidate, has thanked the many supporters who backed her in Thursday's general election. 19885 people (41.1%) voted Liberal Democrat in Hereford and South Herefordshire, in a hard-fought campaign that saw the Conservatives take the seat on the national swing.

Former leader of the Conservative MEP's, Edward McMillan-Scott MEP visited Hereford this morning (30th April) to give support to Sarah Carr's election campaign to the next MP for Hereford and South Herefordshire. Edward is one of many ex-Conservative voters who are supporting the Liberal Democrats at this general election.

Undecided voters swing to Lib Dems following final Leaders Debate

Last night was the final of the three televised Leaders' debates. Leader of the Liberal Democrats, Nick Clegg, debated with Gordon Brown and David Cameron about the economy. Subjects discussed included breaking up the banks, creating more jobs and reinvigorating the British economy.

On Thursday 29th April from 8.30pm, BBC One will host the final live Prime Ministerial Debate of the General Election from the Midlands. Nick Clegg, Gordon Brown and David Cameron will again be going head to head in the run up to the General Election next Thursday.
